MSc Person-Centred Practice (Nursing Management)

The MSc Person-Centred Practice is a postgraduate programme which focuses on person-centredness in the contemporary practice of integrated health and social care. The Person-Centred Practice (PCP) Framework offers practitioners to develop their studies and to enhance their expertise of person-centred practice through a programme designed to meet their needs and those of the community.

This programme develops nursing professionals for the multi-professional and multi-faceted health and social care environment. The programme offers students a chance to personalise their learning to meet their situation. They can choose to specialise in one of the three disciplines: MSc PCP (Nursing Education); MSc PCP (Nursing Management) and MSc PCP (Community Care).

The MSc PCP (Nursing Management) programme develops in practitioners the expertise in leading and transforming professional nursing practice through a critical understanding of the contemporary strategic and management challenges faced by leaders in the organisation. This programme enables the practitioners to engage, examine and improve decision-making processes and practices as informed, evidence based leaders.

Programme Objective

• To develop practitioners with a comprehensive and practical perspective of personcentred ways of working.
• To develop practitioners with an understanding of person-centred practice from a variety of practice, strategic and policy angles.
• To enable practitioners to meet the challenges of promoting person-centredness in advanced clinical, educational, managerial and research-based roles.
