Course Overview

EASB Degree Foundation Programme (DFP) is an accredited University Foundation program recognized by all its University partners. It provides students a university entrance qualification and a solid preparation, which guarantees exceptional success for their undergraduate studies. The course is designed to provide students with a basic understanding of Accounting, Economics, Management, Mathematics and Statistics.

Students who successfully completed the EASB DFP program are guaranteed a place in any of EASB's partner university degree programs (1st year).

Course Objective

The Degree Foundation Programme (DFP) is a pre-degree preparatory program that equips students for entry into their desired degree program. DFP is also known as Certificate in Business Management.

Requirements

• 3 GCE "N" levels (include English) OR
• Secondary school qualifications or equivalents - Completed year 10

AND

• All applicants must be 16 years of age at time of application
  

Course Structure

The course consists of the following modules as follows:-

Duration

An 8 month program of 32 academic weeks with 2 semesters of 16 weeks each. Students will undertake four business units under the DFP program. These units are Economics, Maths and Statistics, Management, and Accounting. The four business units will take up an additional 480 contact hours and are conducted four times per week. Study skills are also introduced to enhance the ability of students to handle their studies more effectively.

Assessment & Awards

Assessment for each module comprises coursework (30%) and a written examination (70%). Upon successful completion of all modules, the student will be awarded the Certificate in Business Management.
