Launch of Hospitality Training Centre @ EASB.

The Hospitality Training Centre was officially launched in July 2006 by Dr. John Pugh, Pro Vice- Chancellor (Collaboration & Partnership) of University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. The significant event was witnessed by Members of the Validation Team from University of Wales Institute, Cardiff.

The Hospitality Training Centre is equipped with a comprehensive suite of industrial standard systems like Fidelio and Micros. Students will now get a first-hand knowledge of working within the hospitality industry before going out for their attachments.

Heading the H&T Training Centre is Mr Sidney Chu, a veteran hotelier with over 20 years experience in the hospitality industry, which includes stints in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, China , Indonesia and HCMC.

"Being the Head of Placement & Training, my mission is to give EASB Hospitality students a chance to pursue their dream, through enhancing their practical knowledge, transforming them to become Ready & Confident, to be a major contributor to the Hospitality Industry."


Students of the Hospitality school were thrilled with the facilities and made these comments;

“After having attended training classes, I can understand more about the concepts and how the hotel works in real-life situations. I am better prepared for my internship and future endeavors.” Ngo Thi Thanh Thuy.

“I really enjoyed the classes, which are realistic and applicable.” Huang Ying.

 

 

Students of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management were delighted to know of the use of the recently opened Hospitality Training Center.

Simulation exercises and practical training on Front Office, Food & Beverage Services, and Housekeeping will prepare students for the internship.
Interactive classes conducted in the restaurant setting make lessons a little more fun and enjoyable.
Our cosy Bedroom Training Area, where students are taught the finer touch in ensuring our "guests" have a memorable stay.
Equipped with the latest hospitality management software (Fidelio and Micros), students will have first-hand experience on reservations check-in and check-out activities.
