1. EASB Matriculation Card
Upon enrolment, all students will be issued a matriculation card, which will be used as a form of identification throughout their stay in EASB. 2. Course Materials
Textbooks and start-of-class kits are issued on the first day of class in each semester.
Only students who have paid up their course fees and examination/assessment fees are issued the textbooks and class kits.
For those who did not collect their books on the first day, they may do so from the respective faculty.
3. Student Pass Renewal
It is the students' responsibility to ensure that their passes are renewed in time. The school will not be held responsible if the pass expires or is being rejected by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) due to lateness in renewing.
To renew the student pass, students must obtain the immigration forms from the Registrar's Office and submit the completed forms to the school no later than two weeks before the expiry date.
The school will only process the renewal application if students meet ICA 's attendance requirement and are current in their payment of fees.
The school will complete the necessary sections and return the completed forms to the students for them to submit to the ICA personally.
4. Request for Official Letters & Documents
Requests for official letters and documents such as verification of student status, provisional transcripts and report cards from the school must be submitted at least 3 days in advance.
Students are required to complete the Student Request Form and submit it to the Registrar Office for processing.
5. Student Counseling Service
The Student Counseling Service is here to help with any personal, emotional or study-related difficulties that are affecting your studies in EASB.
Trained EASB staff are on-hand to counsel and advise students in all matters related to academic matters, administration and pastoral care.
You should approach your Department Head. He/she will offer you the time and space to talk in complete confidence about what is troubling you. Counseling is free.
6. Promotional Offers
Students will be notified of any promotional offers via the website, marketing brochures, notices put up on the respective department's notice board.
The information will state clearly the period for which the promotion is valid.
7. News Update
For all important news from the school, memos will be put up on the school's notice boards as well as published via the website at www.easb.edu.sg
Students must take note of all memos on the notice board/website and act accordingly where applicable.
8. Update of Students' Particulars
All students must provide their latest contact details (eg. telephone number, mobile phone number and residential address) to the School upon enrolment.
Students are to use the Contact Update Form , obtained from the Registrar's Office for the updating of students' records. It is important for all students to provide the school with their updated contact information so that the school can inform them of any changes in the class schedules as well as any important up-coming events.
9. Confidentiality of Students' Particulars and Data
The Registrar's Office is committed to the security and confidentiality of student data. Students' particulars are available solely for internal use and for completing regulatory submission requirements.
10. Fee Payment
EASB does not have a semester fee payment structure. However, installment schemes are available upon request.
Payments of fees can be made through any of the following methods: Cash, cheque or telegraphic transfer. (Credit Card payment for local students only)
Students must insist that official receipts are issued by the school upon payment of fees. Please note that all official receipts must be kept for verification of payment status when required.
Students who are allowed to use the installment plan must make payment before the due date.
All fees are subject to changes.
11. Registration
A student must arrive no later than 3 days before the start of class and to report to the school for formal enrolment.
Kindly note that a student is required to complete his/her course within a maximum duration of 3 years.
Students applying for deferment, must fill in a Student Request Form at the Registrar's Office. You will be directed to your respective Head of Department within the next 48 hours. The HOD will help you with any study-related difficulties and advise you appropriately.
12. Course Induction (Student Administration)
When the student has been accepted by the School, he/she will receive the Letter of Offer and Standard Student Contract , within which contains details on the course, such as, the commencement date, the duration, the name of the college, institute or university awarding the qualification, etc.
In the event where changes are made to matters related to the course, notices will be put up on the respective department's notice board and memos will be given to the students to inform them of the changes before implementation.
13. Attendance
Students are required achieve a minimum attendance of 90% for full-time and 75% for part-time courses in line with ICA 's requirements.
14. Medical Certificates
When a student is absent from class due to medical reasons, he/she is required to submit the original copy of the Medical Certificate and complete the Leave Application Form , at the Admin Office.
Only medical certificates issued by registered clinics, polyclinics or hospitals will be accepted by the school.
15. Taking Home Leave
Students are not allowed to take home leave during a semester.
However, official home leave will only be granted on compassionate grounds.
Students must obtain approval from the Head of Department before going on home leave.
Students must apply for official home leave before the issue of air tickets. Reservations of seats can be made before the home leave is approved.
Failure to inform and obtain the approval of the Head of Department will be construed as absence without official leave and the student will be treated as a voluntary dropout if he is absent for more than 3 consecutive days. He will be liable for dismissal and required to write an appeal letter to show cause or reason for a grant of acquittal from dismissal. The final decision rests with the Disciplinary Board.
The application for home leave procedure is as follows:
Complete the Leave Application Form at the Registrar's Office.
You will be given an appointment with your respective Head of Department within the next 48 hours, who will interview you on your reasons for the application.
If your home leave is approved, you are required to submit a copy of your air ticket to your respective Department.
