Trading Analysis
This course is designed to introduce bankers and corporate professionals alike who have dealings with investments products in the analysis and management of investment choices. No pre-requisites in finance are required.

Technical analysis is applicable to any instrument (stocks, bonds, foreign exchange, interest rates etc) under study, while fundamental analysis studies the financial market in general from a macro perspective.

Objective:

  1. To equip investors with decision making tools – entry and exit points.
  2. To interpret economic figures and data with precise rational.
  3. To comprehend the two different schools of thoughts in analysis (technical versus fundamental)
  4. To provide participants with an investment savy view over the market.
  5. To educate participants in the analytics of making investment choices, and to digest market information

  1. Technical analysis - the study of price movements as an art
  2. Charting – interpreting future movements from past behaviour
  3. MACD – moving averages
  4. Candlesticks
  5. Fundamental analysis – studying business activities
  6. Macro versus Micro economics
  7. Micro – PE ratios, balance sheets, market potentials…etc.
  8. Macro – interpreting economic figures
  9. Marrying the two analysis

Trainer Profile
Mr Lai Kum Hung has his forte in treasury activities with regard to the trading and sales of derivative instruments with various blue-chip banks both here in Singapore, Holland, and in London, and has worked extensively with their private and corporate banking arm. He was also a financial analyst, a senior consultant in Seoul, Korea - consulting on treasury activities and risk management for the banking industry, and a full time trainer with institutions of higher learning (SMa, Raffles Acadamy, PSB etc). He has conducted countless seminars, workshops, and courses to both institutional and private clients in all of his capacities either in classroom settings, or on-site training to various corporations in the Asia Pacific region. Kum Hung graduated from an Ivy-league university in the US (Columbia University) with an MBA, and earned his bachelor degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the State University of New York.
