EASB Institute of Management Students Achieve World Class MBA Distinctions from Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Business School.

Two female students from EASB INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, Guo Jing Jing and Jing Quan, both aged 25 and hailing from China, has produced an amazing and remarkable feat by scoring distinction grades in the academically-challenging MBA programme, conducted by Heriot-Watt University Edinburgh Business School. Whilst Jing Jing scored a distinction in her subject - Project Management - by obtaining 77%, Jing Quan scored a higher distinction by obtaining 80% in the same discipline.

Our duo’s exceptional result when measured against Heriot-Watt’s current international students taking the MBA program, totaling about 8,500 students, represents an important milestone for EASB Institute of Management because it once again affirms the high quality assurance and program delivery by our faculty for all of our mostly foreign students. For Jing Jing and Jing Quan, being Asian students, this accomplishment proves their own individual tenacity and academic prowess in being able to produce such excellent results, entirely in their second language, English.

The Edinburgh Business School MBA indeed enjoys a high worldwide ranking and has received a number of academic and governmental accolades in recent years. As part of the internationally respected British University system, Heriot-Watt is fully accredited by the British government and accepted by colleges and universities around the world. Its MBA Project Management subject is reputed to be a difficult subject because it is made up of components from different disciplines such as Finance, Organisation Behaviour, etc. and this means that students who do not have
prior knowledge in those disciplines would encounter difficulties in understanding this module.

Students' Profiles

Guo Jing Jing is an industrious student blessed with a quiet sense of enthusiasm and strong determination to succeed. Her lecturer reports that she habitually arrives early for lessons and has demonstrated excellent social and interactive skills as she is well-liked by her classmates. Given the fact that she always willingly participated actively in class discussions, Jing Jing has a refreshing idealism tempered only enough to accomplish what needs to be done. This is the very epitome of an EASB student – confident, focussed and well-trained to manage her own academic path.

Jing Quan is a highly perceptive and intelligent student, and she quickly grew in her depth of understanding and in the development of her character during her MBA program. Because of her positive disposition and good communication skills, Jing Quan has left an endearing mark on her lecturer and her classmates. Furthermore as a student, she is consistent, dedicated, enthusiastic and a pleasure to work with. Few students have demonstrated the genuine intellectual curiosity that Jing Quan has exhibited over and over - a curiosity that is often accompanied by her gentle humility and high problem- solving ability.
