25 students from School of Hospitality recently visited the Superfood Asia 2019 at Marina Bay Sands, which showcased food trade exhibits, food tasting sessions and live demonstrations.
They were exposed to the trade in the Food and Beverage sector, understanding the industry, as well as opportunities to interact with key trade buyers. This helps students to learn and enhance understanding of functional food and the dynamics of MICE in hospitality industry.
They also got to try various samples and got to ask questions on food impacts on health and nutrition.
Trips to events like Superfood Asia allow students to see things from various aspects and understand the scenes behind this industry, adding on knowledge on top of their fundamental studies in Hospitality.
They are also exposed to learning beyond classrooms, where they get better insights of the working world and gain better perspectives from their experiences.
