Queen Margaret University's Singapore partner, East Asia Institute of Management, EASB, recently opened a Hospitality & Tourism Training Centre (HTC) as an extension to the Balestier campus left wing. The HTC houses a mock up hotel complete with F&B fine dining restaurant and casino training facility.
Edinburgh Inspiring Capital skipper Gordon Reid said: "It's great to be here in Singapore and to pay a visit to the East Asia Institute of Management. The crew have endured a gruelling sail from Australia, so it is good to see them refuelling and enjoying a taste of home at QMU's impressive new facilities."
Lesley Williams of Marketing Edinburgh, said, "Both Scotland and Singapore are renowned for their distinctive cuisine and cooking traditions, so it is fantastic to see the Edinburgh Inspiring Capital crew cooking up a storm in the QMU's new facilities here in Singapore."
Professor Petra Wend, Principal and Vice-Chancellor of QMU said, "We are very proud to be able to host the crew of the Edinburgh Inspiring Capital yacht here in recognition of their tremendous hard work and achievement in promoting Edinburgh to the world as a centre of business and education."
The Edinburgh Inspiring Capital crew will set sail for Qingdao, China, from Keppel Marina on Saturday 4 February.
