16 January 2012 EASB Alumni Singapore – Networking Dinner 97 EASB alumni attended the inaugural EASB Alumni Singapore Reunion Dinner and Networking session held at the Amara Hotel, Singapore, last evening, 15 January 2012. EASB currently has more than 300 alumni residing and working in Singapore. EASB graduates have found jobs in Samsung, Marina bay Sands, Far East Organisation, Shangri La hotel and many other multinational organisations. Some are entrepreneurs with businesses in Singapore. ![]()

The EASB Alumni Singapore Reunion Dinner and Networking session is hosted by the EASB Alumni Committee Singapore. Mr. Gaurav Krishan, graduate of 2010 cohort with Queen Margaret University (QMU), was formally introduced that evening as the President of EASB Alumni Committee Singapore.
The Guest of Honour present at this memorable event was Dr. Andrew Chua, Principal and Executive Chairman, EASB. Also, the others present include Dr. Tan Jing Hee, Executive Director and Chairman of Academic Board, EASB, Mr. Janson Yap, Regional Managing Director of Deloitte & Touche and USQ Doctor of Professional Studies candidate and by Mr. Jack Wong, Business Development Director, Prevview HR Consultancy. ![]()

“It's good to see familiar faces and such a get-together is a great avenue to expand and reinforce our circle of network” commented Mr. Chen Lu, a web programmer and graduate of 2006 cohort with Queen Margaret University.
“Your duty as loyal graduates of EASB is to forge and preserved all that is special about the EASB spirit. Be proud of it so that future batches and generation of EASBians can experience the same sense of pride and belonging where friendship and network grow stronger every year” commented Dr. Andrew Chua, Principal and Executive Chairman, EASB.

“There is something about EASB’s teaching approach that makes us ready for the industry” Mr. Gaurav enthused after having seen many other “high flyers” from EASB.
Ms. Zhou Fan, a graduate of the 2009 cohort with University of Wales Institute, Cardiff (now known as Cardiff Metropolitan University) expresses her gratefulness to EASB. She is now a Sales Manager and a Champion Award winner in Far East Organisation leading a team of fifteen.
Mr. Janson Yap, Regional Managing Director of Deloitte & Touche, shared with graduates his experience in the workforce. Mr. Janson Yap spoke of the 4Ps to a successful career; Principle, Passion, Prepared, Profit. The Balestier campus recently completed a new Hospitality & Tourism Training wing in December 2011.
Students from the School of Hospitality can look forward to practical hands-on training in this new façade which house a mock up hotel complete with front office, fine-dining restaurant, alfresco dining, professional kitchen, bedroom, lounge, auditorium and a casino training area.
