– How to be an effective member in a dynamic team
     

Introduction:
To be effective, firstly, HR Managers and Officers need to understand the strategic and business objectives of their organizations. Secondly, they have to align their HR objectives with those of their organizations. Thirdly, they need to plan and implement HR programs to achieve those objectives.

Program Objective: 

  • To enable participants to be effective HR professionals and hence contribute to the strategic and business objectives of their organizations. 
  • To enable HR to become an effective business partner to line management and top management.

Program Outline:
• Evolution of personnel management to human resource management

• Strategic management - vision, mission and & business objectives in a corporation

• Strategic human resources management and HR's contribution to achieving the strategic and business objectives of the corporation

• Aligning a corporation's HR objectives to its business objectives by ensuring that HR policies & practices are in line with the business objectives of the corporation

• Ensuring that HR is a business partner to a corporation's CEO

• Developing high-commitment HRM in a corporation through HR policies & practices that will motivate employees to work for the best interests of the corporation

• Developing and practising effective recruitment & selection of talented employees

• Training and developing employees with the right skills and competencies to achieve the corporation's business objectives

• Developing effective performance management and compensation policies & practices

• Understanding HR Manager's roles as a Leader & Strategic Business Partner

• Developing competencies for an effective HR Manager, e.g. knowledge of the business, delivery of best HR practices, critical thinking skill, change management, interpersonal relations skills and personal credibility.

Presentations, discussions, case-studies & role plays
