Instructional Design for Skill Training
     

Introduction:
Whenever a new system, technology, equipment or a product is introduced in a workplace, the need of skill training arises. A crucial component in creating skilled manpower lies on how well they are trained. An effective training programme starts with a good design that is tailor-made to achieve the learning outcomes. Often, designers fail to differentiate skill training form a generic training programme and end up creating ineffective training modules. This programme designed for trainers, training developers and human resource development staff or anyone who requires knowledge of how to develop and execute skills training programs.

Program Objective 

  • Distinguish technical/procedural/process/skills training from soft skills and management training.
  • Explain the importance of technical training.
  • Describe the key factors influencing the role of technical training in an organization.
  • Establish key reasons why an organization should support technical training.
