This module provides students with the financial skills required to make constructive comments and decisions necessary for the survival and success of both profit and non-profit organisations within the service sector.
This module aims to critically demonstrate the principles and theories of strategic management. It serves to develop student’s skill in the context of strategy-analysis, formulation, implementation, turnaround, acquisitions and mergers, branding, re-engineering, finance and portfolio analysis.
This module enables students to develop a critical understanding of the main theories, principles and concepts relating to research philosophies. Students also develop the ability to plan, execute and evaluate a significant research project.
The module aims to provide students with an array theories relating of operations management as they apply them to various organisations. It provides a perspective on operations management which contributes to the competitiveness of an organization and also provides a comprehensive coverage of significant issues relevant to most organisations.
This module enables students to critically understand and evaluate the principles of learning in the context of the individual and the organisation. Students will acquire the skills to demonstrate and critically evaluate creative solutions in pursuit of personal and organisational aims and objectives.
This module develops and provides students an extensive understanding of the theoretical and practical aspects of marketing strategy. It enables them to critically analyse the nature of strategic decisions in marketing and to demonstrate creativity in solving marketing problems.
This module analyses the nature of management in the service sector and other associated industries from various perspectives. It provides students with an evaluative overview of the new research, conceptual development and practice in growing sectors of the economy, and to compare the management of private and public sector organisations through case studies.
This module aims to develop students’ ability to apply the skills of research and inquiry to produce original work which contributes to a subject, field or profession. It enables students to develop further research skills and demonstrate the ability to present research findings in the form of professional academic writing.
This module is designed to introduce students to the increasingly important areas of strategic HRM and employee development that allows students to develop a critical understanding of the key concepts involved in the formulation of HRM policies and strategies, and the complementary role of employee development in achieving organisational aims.

Each module is assessed by academic work comprising written assignments, case study reports, essays, examination as determined by the subject profile. The assessment criterion varies from module to module and level to level. The typical assessment consists of a 40% coursework component and a 60% close book examination.
CAREER
Graduates will have the skills and knowledge to better manage their work or to change to one which involves human resource management and general management.
PROGRESSION PATHWAY
Upon successful completion, students are eligible to progress to any Doctorate degree programme conducted in East Asia Institute of Management.

EduTrust certification recognises PEIs that have robust academic systems and processes, and have attained quality standards in the delivery of education.
EASB has adopted both the escrow bank account and insurance scheme for the protection of total fees paid by all students as required under the EduTrust Certification Scheme.
