This seeks to offer students who want to find out more about marketing – whether you are in a job that involves marketing or not. It helps to answer the question – What is marketing? But it also aims to develop knowledge and skills for people who are working to support others in basic marketing tasks.

Know about the seven Ps (product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence and process) and how to apply the marketing mix.
Understand more about customers and managing customer relationships
Be able to communicate to both internal and external customers using a variety of different means.

1. What is Marketing? This unit provides a backdrop to the importance of marketing in terms of what marketing is, and how it is defined. It focuses on the role of marketing, its cross-functional importance and its contribution to business success. It also looks at the role of marketing as a service provider within the organization.
2. Understanding Customer Relationships This unit focuses on developing an understanding of internal and external customers, and considers how a knowledge and understanding of customers can assist in designing appropriate marketing activities to engage and support customer to achieve long-term customer loyalty.

Upon successful completion of the Certificate, students are eligible to progress into the Diploma and Degree programmes offered at East Asia Institute of Management. |

East Asia Institute of Management, EASB, is in the first batch of PEIs to be awarded the 4-year EduTrust Certification by the Council for Private Education. EduTrust certification recognises PEIs that have robust academic systems and processes, and have attained quality standards in the delivery of education.
EASB has adopted both the escrow bank account and insurance scheme for the protection of total fees paid by all students as required under the EduTrust Certification Scheme.
EASB has in place a mandatory group medical insurance policy as required by the Council for Private Education for all students’ hospitalization and treatment throughout their course duration. In addition, EASB has a group personal accident insurance coverage for all students.
EASB has adopted the standard PEI-student contract.

The Introductory Certificate in Marketing is awarded by the Chartered Institute of Management (UK). It is equivalent to the National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 3, and GCE ‘A’ level standard in the QAA framework for Higher Education Qualifications (FHEQ).
