EASB Institute Of Management first to initiate PEO Clustering by Launching Branch Campuses in Singapore

Singapore is the premier education hub in Asia, offering a diverse and distinctive mix of educational services in a safe, cosmopolitan and comfortable environment. Driven by excellence, Singapore policymakers have strongly supported and encouraged the growth of private education organizations (PEOs) by introducing several specific measures to protect the interest of foreign students studying in Singapore and also to ensure private educational institutions meet minimum quality assurance in education delivery – Student Protection Scheme (SPS), Singapore Quality Class (SQC) for Private Education Organizations and the CaseTrust mark for business excellence.

In line with the Government’s effort to promote Singapore as an educational hub in the region and make Singapore into a “Global School House”, the Association of Private Schools in Singapore (APS) introduced the concept of PEO Clustering to encourage private education providers to group or amalgamate themselves into mega institutions with sizeable student numbers, while at the same time maintaining a high standard of program delivery and staying financially robust.

As one of Singapore’s premiere private education institutes EASB Institute Of Management spearheaded the PEO Clustering initiative by being the first to establish a cluster with four different private schools, by amalgamating their operations with that of EASB IOM. Within this amalgamated structure of cluster schools, EASB takes the lead in quality assurance for all the members in the cluster, as well as, assuming legal responsibility for all student matters. The cluster schools will continue to run their own operations but they will now also function as Branch Campuses of EASB IOM.

With this cluster of schools, EASB IOM is now operating from five locations:–

• North Branch Campus, incorporating Uptrend Business School; more..
• West Branch Campus, incorporating JE Computer School; and more..

EASB IOM is thus able to provide students with greater convenience for their study and a wider choice of academic programmes ranging from certificate, diploma, bachelor, master and right up to doctoral levels. The branch campuses will be able to leverage and provide their students with more options and comprehensive academic progression to recognized university degree, master and doctorate level programs.

Orchard Branch Campus

• EASB Orchard Branch or Coleman College was established in 1987 with a vision to be a leading provider of quality education services in Asia. It now operates at No. 277 Orchard Road #06-01 Specialist’s Shopping Centre Singapore 238858.
  
  
• It is one of the leading private schools providing training in the English Language to foreign students to help them successfully obtain internationally recognized qualifications such as IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge, LCCI and Pitman.
  
  
• Besides English and other languages, it offers other academic and professional courses including graphic design, multimedia design, tourism and hospitality, business, IT and sports fitness. EAST Branch Campus (Parkway Parade)

• EASB East Branch comprises the Washington Group of Schools that was established in 1992 with a vision to provide quality educational and training services in Singapore and overseas. It now operates the following 5 schools in 2 locations: No. 1, Marine Parade Central #02-04, Parkway Centre, Singapore 449408 and Nos. 108-110, Middle Road Singapore 188967.
  
  
• It is well reputed for its English programs, preparatory courses into government schools, polytechnics and institutions of higher learning and diploma and university degree programs. Today, 90% of its students are foreign students from various Asian countries like China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, Japan etc.
  
  
• It has 22 classrooms, 2 libraries, 2 computer laboratories, 2 conference/ resource rooms and a gymnasium. Washington’s management team comprises the administrative staff, lecturers and trainers who are well qualified and experienced in the education service.

• EASB North Branch, also known as Uptrend Business School, was established in 1986 with the aim of providing quality education and continual learning opportunities for both Singaporeans and foreigners. Since then, thousands of students have benefited from its programs and many have gone on to achieving great success in their careers or businesses now.
  
  
• The main school is now located at 701A Yishun Avenue 5 #03-02 Singapore 761701, and the branch at 203 Hougang Street 21 #04-73/75 Singapore 530203. It occupies a total floor area of over 9,000 square feet with 15 classrooms, a resource centre, a science laboratory and a computer room.

West Branch Campus (Jurong East)

• EASB West Campus, also known as JE Computer & Education Centre, was established in 1986 with the objectives of providing quality education and training to the general public in Singapore and from overseas. It now operates in two locations at Blk 130 Jurong East Street 13 #04-215 Singapore 600130 and Blk 134 Jurong East Street 13 #04-307L Singapore 600134.
  
  
• It has expanded from 6 Training rooms to the present 18 IT, training and Administration rooms, fully air-conditioned and carpeted. As for the IT rooms, they are connected by local area network with full Internet Broadband services. The library is fully air-conditioned and carpeted with more than 1000 books for references. On top of this, the Jurong Regional Library is just next to the school. The academic programs conducted are awarded by ITE; LCCI; ACCA ; IATA/UFTAA
